Help you can trust, when life feels like too much.

You’re not alone.

Some days it’s not a crisis.

It’s the kitchen.
The elderly care.
The laundry.

It’s needing one small thing handled so you can breathe again.

How Aldea Works (for now)

Aldea is starting as a small, community-based pilot - by design.

If you need help

1. You ask for help.
Tell us what you need — big or small. Some days, one thing is enough.

2. A real person reviews it.
We look at timing, location, and fit — not just speed or availability.

3. We make a thoughtful match.
Nothing moves forward unless everyone feels comfortable.

We’re optimizing for trust, not speed.

If you’re offering help

1. Share what you’re open to.
Tell us when you’re available and what kinds of help you’re comfortable offering.

2. We reach out when there’s a local fit.
If something nearby matches your availability, we’ll check in.

3. You decide every time.
Accept, decline, or pause — there’s no obligation.

You’re always in control of your time.

What we can help with

Aldea is about micro-help — short, focused support meant to take the edge off. Not full-shift services. Not perfection. Just enough help to help you breathe again.

  • Kitchen reset (not deep cleaning)

    Dishes

    Quick floor tidy

Laundry help (one or two loads)

    Light organizing (one area)

  • Grocery run

    Pickups or drop-offs

    Returns

    Pharmacy run

    Simple local errand

  • Extra set of hands

Being there while you get something done

Short watch for a baby while you take a call

Sitting with an elderly parent for an hour or two

This is about short-term presence to supplement care — not replacing it.

Pilot

Aldea is currently running as a small, founder-led pilot so we can do this with care.

Pilot hours
Requests are currently supported during the following windows:

  • Daily

  • 9am–9pm

Capacity
We accept a limited number of requests each day to make sure every ask is handled thoughtfully.

Pilot area
We’re currently supporting requests within San Diego city.

Response time
We aim to respond within 2 hours during pilot hours.

Pilot requests are meant to be short and focused — usually 1–2 hours — to help take the edge off, not replace full services.

Request Micro-Help.

Aldea is currently supporting a limited number of micro-help requests during a small pilot.

If we’re full, outside your area, or not the right fit yet, joining the pilot lets us stay connected and expand responsibly.

Offer help

Aldea is built on the idea that help works best when it’s offered freely and within clear limits.

If you have a little time, live nearby, and want to support someone in a small, practical way, you’re welcome to join the pilot.

What this looks like

  • Short, focused help (usually 1–2 hours)

  • Everyday tasks or presence-based support

  • Requests you can always say yes or no to

  • Local, during pilot hours

What this isn’t

  • Full-day work or ongoing commitments

  • Professional caregiving or medical support

  • Being “on call”

  • Anything you’re uncomfortable with

You’re always in control of your time.
Offering help through Aldea is opt-in, request by request — with room to pause whenever you need.
